ConsultingCloud MigrationInstallationManaged HostingPerformance TuningTrainingCustom DevelopmentThe power of teamwork
Behind every great human achievement, there is a team.
From medicine and space travel, to disaster response and pizza deliveries, our products help teams all over the planet advance humanity through the power of software.
Our mission is to help unleash the potential of every team.
A brief history
Armed with a credit card and a dream, two college friends, Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar set out to create Atlassian. In 2002, they didn't know what kind of company Atlassian was going to be, but they knew exactly what it shouldn't be—an environment where they had to conform rather than be who they authentically are.
Now 20 years in, we’ve grown into a global company with employees all over the world, but those early ambitions hold true.
Values to live by
Our unique values describe, at the most fundamental level, what we stand for. These five values shape our culture, influence who we are, what we do, and even who we hire. They're hard-wired into our DNA and will stay the same as we continue to grow.
We teams
Over 200,000+ customers use Atlassian to empower their teams and drive their missions forward.
We take 'Don't #@!% the Customer' seriously because our customers are the reason why we do what we do. It's even why we price our products so every company can afford them. They inspire us, challenge us, and in turn, help us build better products.
Working Open
We believe all teams have the potential to do amazing things when work is Open.
Much of the world works, often unwittingly, in a closed way. Information is hidden or lost, bonds between teams and teammates are weak, and perspectives are withheld. The result? People burn out. Knowledge is wasted. Potential is left on the table. Forward progress is halted. This is why Open matters. This is why we do what we do at Atlassian.
Open work has always been central to our values. It's in the DNA of our products and we bring it to life through our practices. But it doesn't just happen. Our teams make an effort to work, communicate, and collaborate openly every day to lead by example.
Open unlocks new opportunities. Open brings us together. Open unleashes potential.
For the Atlassian Developer Community, 2022 was a year of growth and adapting to continual change. We brought our builders together through community events and contests, enhanced the capabilities of our platforms, and worked towards a streamlined Atlassian developer experience. There is always room for more improvement, but we’re more excited than ever about the potential opportunities ahead.

System and Organization Controls (SOC) Reports are independent third-party examination reports that provide detailed information and assurance about controls in place at service organizations. Refer to the AICPA for further details.
When outsourcing services, it is critical to verify that the service organization has effective internal controls in place. SOC Reports establish trust and confidence in a service organization by providing assurance their internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
Happy New Year Everyone!
For those of you that have taken some time off during the holidays, (like me) I hope you have had a very relaxing time and you are ready to dive right into 2023. I had some really positive feedback about this new format, so we are going to keep it going! Without wasting any more time, we have a power house collection for you to check out this time. Let’s get started!
It's the fourth annual Team Awards, and this year's awards are more exciting than ever! (Plus we have you, an entire Lab full of people thinking and talking about teamwork, so I think there are going to be some especially amazing submissions this year from this group. 😉)
The tl;dr version? Go to the Team Awards website and nominate your team, or a team of your colleagues, for one of the four categories: Agile & DevOps, ITSM, Work Management, or Cloud Migration.

We’re thrilled to make two big-scale announcements today. Drum roll, please…
50,000 users on Confluence and 10,000 agents for Jira Service Management are now generally available.
These are two huge milestones that will not only enable even larger organizations to unlock the benefits of cloud but also empower teams to continue scaling seamlessly with our products. For Jira Service Management, we’ve doubled the number of agents that we can support on a single instance from 5,000 to 10,000 users. For Confluence, we’ve been able to support an additional 15,000 users in just 8 months.
